Green Building Award 2008: BMT supports Hong Yip Service Company Limited

Hong Yip Service Company Limited (Hong Yip), a subsidiary of Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited, has been recognised for its contribution to sustainable development at the Green Building Award 2008 (GBA 2008).
Nominations for all three private residential developments managed by Hong Yip were shortlisted out of more than 100 applications. In the ‘Existing Building Category', The Parcville received the GBA 2008 Grand Award, while the Park Central - Residential (Phase I) received a Merit Award.
BMT Asia Pacific Limited was engaged by Hong Yip to evaluate the performance of the developments against the GBA 2008 criteria and relevant local and international green building standards.
The Parcville is a low density residential development in Yuen Long incorporating partial natural ventilation, optimal day-lighting, rain water recycling and domestic waste separation. Hong Yip has also implemented an integrated management system certified to ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and OHSAS 18001 (health & safety). The development has also received various other awards for its contribution to sustainable development including HK-BEAM (Excellent Rating) and Hong Kong Eco-Business Award (Gold Award).
