Singapore based, BMT Asia Pacific is a wholly owned subsidiary of the BMT Group who are currently recruiting for a Senior Naval Architect.

A leading international multi-disciplinary engineering, science and technology consultancy offering a broad range of services, particularly in the defence, energy & environment, shipping, and ports &logistics sectors. Customers are served by a staff of around 1,500 professionals located in a network of international subsidiary companies.
BMT Asia Pacific provides worldwide engineering consultancy services in the fields of International Shipping, Risk and Safety, and Ports & Terminals Planning and Design.

The Role

BMT Asia Pacific requires a Senior Naval Architect with experience in ship design for commercial vessels such as offshore vessels, work barges, etc.

The main duties of the Senior Naval Architect will include:

• Developing concept and Class level design packages using Maxsurf
• Conducting ship design reviews
• Supporting Marine Infrastructure teams for mooring analysis and navigation simulations
• Conducting ship inspections and sea trials.

The Individual

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience working in ship design consultancy or shipyard or Classification Society or as owner’s representative.
