BMT uses leading edge CFD software and computing hardware to provide rapid answers to complex problems involving fluid flows.

Practical engineering quantities can be calculated such as flow rates, pressure drops, drag coefficients, heat transfer rates, combustion rates, mixing rates and many more.
Smoke propagation and flashover are two of the highest threats to human life in any fire and are important factors to consider in the planning and assessment of any building or vehicle. CFD can be used to model these unsteady complex processes, which are largely governed by combustion, buoyancy, turbulence, radiation and particulate transport. Simulation results can then be used to aid in the design of buildings and vehicles to minimise the propagation of fire and smoke, and assess the most effective use of fire protection systems.
These services are provided by our specialist operating companies in Australia and in the UK.
