Independent Safety Assessment

Modern systems are increasingly complex in both functional and technical aspects and railway operators need to demonstrate to regulators that these systems are both safe and reliable. International safety standards require Independent Safety Assessments (ISA) to be carried out in parallel with the development of new and modified systems and before safe case approval.

BMT’s independence allows us to undertake objective, independent reviews and audits of safety issues and assume the role as Independent Safety Auditor.
