Safety Engineering Support and Assessment

The mitigation methodologies used by BMT are designed to manage risk aligned with ALARP principles in order to achieve safe and high-performance designs and operations.

BMT provides support to Oil and Gas safety engineering for both onshore and offshore activities. Early on in the development lifecycle, we identify hazards starting from the feasibility and design stages and can continue evaluating associated risks related to the operation of facilities.

Safety engineers manage risk by evaluating failure probability and severity in order to eliminate or reduce risk to acceptable levels.

This requires the sound analysis of number of variables that could lead to a hazardous event, including mechanical failure, environmental effects and human error; as well as the use of proven methods to ensure a consistent and reliable way of reaching safety logic.
