  • Concept Jetty Design for a Material Offloading Facility (MOLF)

    BMT carried out the conceptual design of the MOLF, covering geotechnical and marine structural engineering design activities, as well as a number of specialist studies and surveys needed for adequately evaluating the options available.

  • Consultancy Study: Hong Kong's Competitiveness as a Regional Distribution Centre

    The Hong Kong Trade Development Council commissioned BMT, working together with the Li & Fung Institute of Supply Chain Management and Logistics (Chinese University of Hong Kong) to carry out a Consultancy Study on the competitiveness of Hong Kong as a Regional Distribution Centre.

  • Cumulative Risk Assessment of industrial facilities in China

    BMT was invited by a global financing and development institution to conduct a cumulative risk assessment of its three major industrial facilities in Nansha, Pearl River Delta and to review its industrial hazard risk management system.

  • Design Audit of SAG and Ball Mills for a Mining Company

    Markets: Mining and Bulk Handling

    BMT was appointed to undertake design audits for Sino Gold, a mining company based in Sydney with operations primarily in China. Scope of works included: detailed workshop fabrication inspections, development of structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) model, complete intensive bolted joint assessments, fatigue analysis, identification of manhole detailing issues and derivation of weld finish improvements.

  • Design Upgrade of a Blending and Barge Loading Facility

    Markets: Ports and Terminals, Mining and Bulk Handling

    BMT Asia Pacific was engaged to prepare designs to more than double the output of an existing barge loading facility in Kalimantan, Indonesia. The facility handles a number of different grades of coal to deliver a specified blend to each barge.
