The Requirement

The facilities at the Slop Reception Centre at Pulau Sebarok, Singapore has been in existence for a number of years and Singaport Cleanseas had the intention of upgrading these existing facilities.

These include:

• Additions and alterations to the treatment plant;
• Upgrading of the jetty to cater for bigger vessels;
• Maximising the available tank storage capacity.

What We Delivered

BMT delivered the conceptual design review and project management for the proposed construction of new tanks and associated facilities at the existing slop reception centre, as well as the study on the potential upgrading / expansion of the existing barge pier to cater for larger vessels.

The completed new jetty will allow two vessels of up to 2000 DWT to berth at the same time. In the event a larger vessel of up to 30,000 DWT berths at Berth No. 2, no other vessel will be permitted at the jetty.

The development of the offshore structure were sequenced into various phases: 

Phase 1:  Construction of an additional jetty for vessels size up to 2,000 dwt and the fire pump platform towards the west of the existing barge pier.

Phase 2 : Commissioning of the new jetty for operation and stop the operation at the existing barge pier for upgrading to cater to vessel size up to 10,000 dwt.
